Katsina United coach, Abdulahhi Biffo has opined that playing matches of the Federation Cup on neutral grounds could be replicated in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), in order to enhance quality results.
Speaking against the backdrop of his team’s involvement in the group stage of the Federation Cup alongside other clubs, all playing outside their home bases, Biffo told sports247.ng that the strategy can be tried in the league as well.
Biffo said further that he will support the idea of playing NPFL matches at neutral grounds to develop the league in terms of quality results, good officiating and security.
Biffo told Sports247.ng: “If neutral venues across the country will help produce the best teams and true champions of the League, then the LMC should consider the proposal.”
