The 3rd edition of the Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament is now in the semi finals after today’s four matches in the quarter finals of the tournament.

At the Uniben Sports complex, Ugbowo, Delta Queens defeated Nasarawa Amazons 3-1 in the second quarter finals.

While Bayelsa Queens beat Ekiti Queens 4-1 in the first quarter final game also at the Uniben sports Complex, Ugbowo campus, to book a place in the semi final.

At the Western Boys High School Mini stadium, Edo Queens defeated Heartland Queens 2-1, while Remo Stars Ladies beat tournament’s defending champions, FC Robo 3-1 at the Western Boys High School mini stadium, to also book a place in the semi finals.

In the semi finals that will be played on Monday, Edo Queens will slug it out against Remo Stars Ladies in the first semi finals at 4pm.

The Edo Queens vs Remo Stars match will be played at 4pm. This will be a repeat of the tough cracker in the group preliminaries which Edo Queens won 2-1 with two penalty goals converted by Suliyat Abideen.

The second semi finals between Bayelsa Queens vs Delta Queens will be played simultaneously at 4pm at the Uniben sports complex, Ugbowo campus on Monday.

Tomorrow Sunday, October 29, is rest day in the Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament in Benin City.
