The ongoing Bet9ja Ekiti state football league presently on break has been described as impressive in terms of standard of play, discipline, commitment and overall compliance to rules guiding the competition.
According to a half-term report of the much-followed competition by the diligently selected technical study group and endorsed by the Ekiti FA boss, Bayo Olanlege, the teams participating in the league have displayed high levels understanding of the technicalities and rules of the game.
The technical study group rated the team’s performance on the following; team discipline, compliance on rules of the league, supporters’ discipline, the efficiency of management and social media presence.
The report also adviced the teams to work on their social media presence in order to attract followership, as well as potential sponsors. It also harped on the need of the teams to have efficient management to help it achieve its objectives.
Moving forward, the report, frowned at the behaviour of supporters of some the teams on issues of indiscipline which brought about the sanction on Ajibade FC and Ojorube FC that will now play their remaining home matches at Oluyemi Kayode stadium and behind closed doors.
According to Olabayo Badmos, Chairman of the league organising committee, the reports of the study group is a welcome development that would buoy the efforts of the organizers towards achieving its objectives.
Meanwhile, the second stanza of the league resumes Tuesday, 3rd September 2019, at eight match venues across the state.
