Best Talent FC of Mowe has emerged champions of the maiden edition of GreenLock Summer Football Pre Season tournament held at Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, Ogun State beaten Green Lock FC 2-0.
The two goals which came at each half of the encounter was from the highly rated and prolific striker, Azeez Tijani which rendered the host team a stranger in their own yard and snatched the coveted trophy in an iconic ambience.
Popularly known as integrity team, Best Talent remains unbeaten in the competition having piped Star Builders 1-0 in the match opener , humbled TCCG FC 5-2 and settled for one all draw against Magic Stars FC which propelled them to top the group A.
Green Lock FC under the tutelage of Coach Bolarinwa had the same points from group B in an unbeaten version and both clashed at the final of the prestigious pre season tournament with high expectations from the host team and undefeated Best Talent.
Speaking with the Head Coach of the Mowe giants, Yinka Popoola Gullit, he appreciated the Chairman of the club, Mr Adeyinka Adeyemo for his massive support .He extended same to the Management and the commitment of the players for their doggedness and resilience in lifting the trophy against the host team. In his words: “I like to give a big kudos to my players for doing a wonderful job today. They all played well and they played to instructions . The tactical and technical advice they internalise reflected in the game. They resisted all incursions threw at them by the homers, Green Lock team and it paid off .
