In a strategic move to bolster their chances ahead of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO1) season, Ogun State-based football club, Best Talent FC, has appointed Coach Yusuf Farouk as their new head coach.
The announcement was made during a vibrant unveiling ceremony at the club’s home ground in Mowe, Ogun State.

Best Talent FC, a club that narrowly missed out on promotion to the second tier of Nigerian football last season, is banking on the vast experience of Farouk, a respected grassroots coach, to lead them to success.
With a background that includes stints at prominent clubs like Fackson FA, Shuffle Select FA, Fresh Talent FC, and Margate FC, Farouk brings a wealth of knowledge and a strong track record of success.
Speaking at the unveiling, General Manager of the club, Sikiru Ibrahim, also known as SK, expressed his confidence in the appointment.
“Coach Farouk is a result-oriented tactician who will bring his wealth of experience to bear as we fight for promotion. His accomplishments at various grassroots levels make him the perfect fit for our ambitious goals,” said SK.
Farouk himself expressed his enthusiasm for the role, stating, “I am committed to building a winning squad that will play with passion and zeal. We aim to make the upcoming season our best yet, and I look forward to leading this talented team to new heights.”
Club chairman and former player, Adeyemo Adeyinka, emphasized the importance of securing promotion, noting, “We are determined to fight tooth and nail for that promotion slot. That’s why we’ve brought in a versatile coach like Farouk, and we believe he will turn our aspirations into reality.”
With the support of his assistant, Adegboyega Adekunle, and goalkeeper trainer, Francis Temitope, Farouk is poised to steer Best Talent FC to a promising season.
