Nigerian athletes are expected to storm the city of Benin, Edo State, later this month for the commonwealth and world championships trials.
The Benin 2022 trials tagged “A Championship of Stars” is set to see Nigerian athletes both foreign and local, gather at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, between June 21-23, 2022, for a showdown to select Nigeria’s representative for the commonwealth games and the World Athletics championships.
The World Athletics Championships is set to hold from Friday, 15th July 2022 to Sunday 24th July 2022 while the Commonwealth games is set to hold in Birmingham City, UK from Thursday, 28th July 2022 to Monday, 8th August 2022.
