The 2024/25 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership reached Matchday 10 with eight exciting fixtures across the country, as teams continued their battle for supremacy and survival.
Debutantes Benue Queens finally ended their nine-game losing streak, earning their first-ever NWFL Premiership point with a 1-1 draw against Delta Queens in Lafia. Destiny Itobor put the visitors ahead in the 12th minute, but Joy Ikyagh’s 61st-minute equalizer ensured the hosts broke their winless run.

Edo Queens extended their unbeaten streak to 10 matches with a solid 2-0 victory over Heartland Queens in Benin City. Goals from Mary Mamudu and Esther Inyang secured their eighth win of the campaign, adding to their two draws.
Bayelsa Queens continued their dominance, overpowering Ibom Angels 3-0 in Yenagoa. Kindness Ifeanyi, Delight Isaac, and Dooshima Tarnum found the net to maintain their impressive record of eight wins and two draws this season.
Similarly, Rivers Angels stayed unbeaten, clinching a 2-0 win over Naija Ratels in Port Harcourt. Titilayo Aweda and Mary Moses were on target, helping the Jewels of Rivers secure their eighth victory in 10 matches.
Nasarawa Amazons climbed the standings with a 2-0 win over Abia Angels in Lafia, with second-half goals from Janet Akekeromowei and Chisom Chima.
In Ibadan, Remo Stars Ladies edged out Ekiti Queens 1-0, thanks to Olasubomi Ogundele’s second goal of the season, sealing a crucial three points for the Sky Blue Ladies.
Robo Queens claimed an important away win, defeating Adamawa Queens 3-1 in Numan. Opeyemi Ajakaye scored twice, while Oluwakemi Adegbuyi added a late goal to secure victory.
Meanwhile, Confluence Queens and Dannaz Ladies played out a goalless draw in Anyigba, halting Dannaz’s four-match losing run.
