Bendel Insurance’s goalkeeper, Amas Obasogie, has claimed the prestigious Golden Glove award for the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, cementing his place in NPFL history.

Obasogie achieved an impressive 18 clean sheets this season, the highest ever recorded in a single NPFL campaign.
This remarkable feat places Obasogie ahead of Remo Stars’ Kayode Bankole and Doma United’s Kingdom Osayi, both tied with 15 clean sheets each. Obasogie’s standout performance surpasses the previous record set by Kwara United’s veteran goalkeeper, Adewale Adeyinka, who kept 16 clean sheets during the 2020/21 season.
