Mr. Mahmud Hadejia, the Coordinator of the Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL), and President of the of Africa Beach Soccer Union has proclaimed that the country’s league as the most organised on the continent.
He disclosed this during a show on Super FM, Ijebu Ode earlier this week, where he hailed the NBSL best-run in Africa despite being in its infancy stage and adverse weather conditions, the league still runs smoothly.
“Challenges do come but we have been in this terrain and game long enough to learn enough so that when these challenges come we can easily overcome them.”
“We thank God that we are getting some sponsors taking up interest in the game. It’s a thing of joy.
Challenges like traveling for teams across the country as well as insecurity in the country which is a thing of concern.
We have tried our best to make sure that our teams travel in the safest condition. This is one of the best run leagues if not the best run league in the whole of Africa. I can confidently say that.”
Mr. Hadejia further made the announcement that the Super 4 tournament for the 2022 Nigeria Beach Soccer League has been scheduled to kickstart on 7th of October in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi state.
Smart City FC, Badagry Warriors, Kada BSC, and Kebbi Fishers are the four teams that will compete in the tournament.
