Africa Magic, a part of the organizers of the Big Brother Naija, BBNaija reality TV show has apologised after they labelled housemate Kiddwaya a flirt.
Earlier today, viewers of the show expressed contempt over the post updated on Twitter, which was a response to Kiddwaya’s attitude towards Erica.
The post describes the situation between three housemates, Erica, Laycon and Kiddwaya, especially from the previous night after it appeared like Kidd kissed Erica despite her drunken state, this act by Kidd didn’t go down well to Laycon as he found it so disrespectful and didn’t hide what he felt about the situation. This prompted Africa Magic to be identified as a philanderer in their post.
Part of the Africa Magic post, which BBNaija viewers found fault in, reads, “Take a look at the man Erica chose to giver her heart to, Kiddwaya. He has been a serial flirt and though Erica was one of his targets, she wasn’t his first choice like she was for Laycon.”
Following the Africa Magic post, the hashtag #JusticeForKiddwaya has started trending as Nigerians express their dissatisfaction with the post.
A viewer of the show wrote on Twitter:
“This clearly shows that the sponsors already have a winner.”
It’s a pity that @africamagictv would stoop so low to sell a narrative that was completely different from what we watched. It is a shame that you would write with such unprofessional conduct. Kiddwaya is not an exploiter,” wrote another fan of the show.
Reacting to the backlash, the organizers of the show took to their social media page to tender an apology to the viewers who feel offended by the statement.
The post reads:

From a sporting point of view, inflammatory remarks on players, coaches and athletes has been part of sports over the years. Subsequently, open apologies are directed to the victim. One example of this was when Cristiano Ronaldo lambasted his teammates in February 2016 after they lost to Atletico Madrid in La Liga. He tendered his apologies later, saying anger made him utter those demeaning words.
