As the second half commenced, Taiwo Awoniyi, displaying acrobatic finesse, extended Nigeria’s lead to 3-0 in the 51st minute. It was at this juncture that Victor Boniface’s momentous debut unfolded, as he was introduced into the match, replacing Awoniyi in the 62nd minute.
The goal fest continued with Osimhen calmly converting a penalty kick in the 70th minute to secure his brace and elevate the scoreline to 4-0. Osimhen then achieved a well-deserved hat-trick, tapping in from close range after an exquisite setup by substitute Samuel Chukwueze.
Chukwueze, not to be outdone, etched his name on the score sheet by adding another goal for Nigeria, elevating the tally to an emphatic 6-0, with Boniface providing the assist for this memorable strike.
