After his scintillating performance against Bayelsa United in the last season of the Nigeria National League, NNL, the former striker of Ottasolo Football Club Of Lagos, Fredrick Obi Etta has wondered why South South club failed to sign him ahead of new season.
Etta who was spotted while training at Alade stadium, Lagos said he is not happy that he is still a free player boasting that his current form is superb to threaten any defender that come his way.
“When Ottasolo went to Bayelsa for a league match, the home team defeated us 3-1 in Yenagoa but I must say it that the only goal we scored came from me.Aside scoring the goal, I threatened Bayelsa United defence unfortunately we lost the game.
“It was after the match, the Bayelsa United coach and officials came to me and said they have interest in me but up till now they have not contacted me,”said Etta who is still interested in the newly promoted premier club.
The Cross River striker explained his journey to professional club.He confessed that he hardly spent a year with his boyhood club, Divine Ambassador FC before he got offer from Ottasolo.
“I did not stay long with Divine Ambassador before I got offer in Ottasolo.I was spotted by Ottasolo coach, Seyi Abidemi when Divine Ambassador played against them in a friendly match and he invited me to join Ottasolo in year 2021,”he said.
The 18 years old tall striker said aside Bayelsa United, there are still several other clubs that are showing interest in him in the NNL.
” I don’t like to be boasting but maybe if I say this, I may see offer from any NNL or premier club in Nigeria.During the last season, clubs like Abia Cometh, Go Round FC, and Calabar Rovers were interested in me but what my manager said was that he is working something for me before the season starts,”he said.
Etta who scored three goals for Ottasolo before he moved to Crown FC mid season, added that he is ready for offer from premier and NNL clubs but declined to play for NLO clubs.
