Bayelsa state will bid to host the 2026 national sports festival.
Commissioner for sports ,Daniel Igali revealed this on Friday said the state has the capacity to host the festival which is Nigerian version of the Olympic Games .
He said maximum priority is given to sports which is meant for development of youths across the states, Igali “said the state sole aim at Delta 2022 is to add to the 56 gold medal won at Edo 2020. I will be happy if we can add to the 56 medal won at Edo.”
Our athletes are well taken care of and we will reward them handsomely at the end of the festival.
We will do our best to put smiles on bayelsans who are pained by the recent flood disaster.
Daniel Igali is currently the President of Wrestling Federation and won Gold medal for Canada in Wrestling at Sydney 2000 Games
