The Bayelsa State Table Tennis Association has secured the services of Azeez Sholanke popularly known as Perform.

Azeez Sholanke’s inclusion into the Bayelsa State Table Tennis team has made the State table tennis the strongest in Nigeria joining the likes of Samuel Boboye, Etim Orok, Matthew John, Isaac Boye, Nico Dekekeme, and Blessing Kemala.
Chairman of the Bayelsa State Table Tennis Association Mr Ama-Ebi Ebikpolade in an interview, said the addition of Azeez Sholanke has brought more force to the Bayelsa State team, stating that Sholanke is more at home due to closeness to the team.
The South-South Zonal Representative in the Board of Nigeria Table Tennis Federation noted that the performance of the team in the Alabi Memorial Table Tennis Championship in Osogbo, Osun State has made the team a team to beat in Nigeria.
He explained that the attention of the association has moved to the World Table Tennis Championship coming in Lagos with Samuel Boboye, Etim Orok, and Azeez Sholanke participating in the championship in Lagos, pointing out that the trio has already registered for the competition.
Ama-Ebi Ebikpolade asserted that the Bayelsa State Table Tennis Association would soon embark on programs in the quest to discover talents for the State, adding that camping for the championship will commence in Yenagoa this week in order to get used to each other.
He called on Bayelsans not to relent in their support for table tennis in the state, saying that the association is also preparing for the sports festival in Abeokuta, Ogun State with a formidable team.
