A defeat for Bayelsa Queens would effectively have had them relegated.
Safety Babes raised the bar for the title with a 27-23 victory over Defender Babes.
In the Male Category, Police Machine compounded the woes of of Plateau Vipers as they defeated the Jos boys 29-26 while Niger United continue to top the league table as they defeated Lagos Seasider Boys 31-26.
Rima Strikers ensured Kada Stars continue to remain in the relegation zone with a 31-25 victory while Tojemarine Academy ended their league debut in style with a 32-28 victory.
