Head Coach of Bayelsa Queens FC, winners of the just-concluded Flying Officers Cup tournament, Moses Aduku, has stated that his team has a lot to improve on the aftermath of the title triumph as he reveals that the team will go back to the drawing board to making necessary tactical corrections
Following a long absence of sporting activities due to the Coronavirus outbreak, Aduku explained that the pre-season tournament had exposed lots of technical gaps in the team, as they look forward to begin their campaign in the 2020/2021 Nigeria Women Premier League (NWPL).
He elatedly admitted, “truly, we are the champion of the tournament but we are not satisfied with the team’s performance hence why we need to make the necessary follow-ups and corrections.”
“The NWFL league is so close, just in two weeks from now and we have noticed that we have so many technical issues to address before the league kicks off therefore, we will come back better in the league and take it one game at a time.”
Due to take up Pelican Stars of Calabar in the league opener, he vowed that the team will go all out, “ we won’t take the game lightly although am not promising that we are going to win all the games but we will prepare better for the league.”
The Yenagoa-based team defeated Nasarawa Amazons by a lone goal on Sunday to lift the trophy in the event organised by Ratels Sports Foundation.
