Despite a strong start from the visitors, Bayelsa Queens struck first in the 21st minute when Olabiyi Alaba capitalized on a goalkeeper error to slot the ball into an empty net—her third goal in two games against FC Robo. Five minutes later, Coach Whyte Ogbonda made a bold triple substitution, bringing in Dooshima Tarnum, Vera Samuel, and Ifeanyi Kindness, which instantly shifted the momentum in favor of the Prosperity Girls.

FC Robo had a golden opportunity to equalize, but Ajakaye Opeyemi failed to convert. Just before halftime, Bayelsa Queens punished their opponents again as Shakirat Moshood, fresh from national team duty, doubled the lead to the delight of the home fans.

The second half saw Bayelsa Queens pick up right where they left off, with Moshood sealing the victory with a well-placed header from inside the six-yard box. Goalkeeper Linda Jiwuaku was outstanding, making three crucial saves to maintain the clean sheet.

Coach Whyte Ogbonda praised his team’s resilience, particularly highlighting Moshood’s national team experience as a key reason for her immediate impact.

With this dominant win, Bayelsa Queens reclaim the NWFL Group B summit on goal difference, overtaking Rivers Angels, who edged Adamawa 2-1 away from home. The title race is heating up, and the Prosperity Girls are firmly in control!
