The Prosperity Girls wrapped up the first half of the NWFL Premiership unbeaten, sitting in second place with 17 points—level with table-toppers Rivers Angels, who lead on goal difference.

Ogbonda, who took charge at the beginning of the season, expressed satisfaction with his squad’s progress, stating that the players have gradually adapted to his tactical approach.

“We are finding our rhythm, and with time, our hard work will translate into the performances we deserve,” he said. “Our goal remains to return to the continent, which is where Bayelsa Queens truly belong.”

Bayelsa Queens will resume action in Yenagoa on March 19, 2025, when the NWFL Premiership’s second round kicks off at the Samson Siasia Stadium.
