The Chairman of Bayelsa Queens FC, Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala has extolled the virtues of the Chairperson of the Nigeria Women Football League, Madam Aisha Falode for her dogged drive in the development of the women game in Nigeria.
Pastor Apreala stated this in an interview with journalists in Benin City, Edo State at the ongoing Super 6 of the 2021/22 Nigeria Women Football League.
He cited the sponsorship deal brokered with Tulcan Energy Resources for the six participating teams which will see the total of 16 Million Naira shared amongst them.
According to Apreala, the welfare package of the NWFL has improved tremendously and he also gave tumps up for the officiating at the ongoing NWFL Super six.
The Amassoma Born Sports Administrator also mentioned the quality of the women League from the Nationwide League just concluded in Benin City and the qualification of the Falconets for the U-20 World Cup in Costa Rica later this year and the Flamingoes in the last phase of the U-17 World Cup with players from the NWFL as a testament to the high standard of the Female League.
Pastor Robin Apreala also praise the managerial dexterity of the Chief Operating Officer of the NWFL Modupe Shabi, for how she has been able to handle the league.
Robin Apreala alluded to the effort of Aisha Falode’s push to see more players from the Nigeria Women Football League to get into the Super Falcons team for the WAFCON in Morocco that has seen about 5 invitees from the NWFL.
The Soft Spoken Pastor pray the Almighty to continue to empower the Aisha Falode led Board of the Nigeria Women Football League to take the women football to it’s desired destination and giving employment to the Nigerian Girl Child.
