Bayelsa State First Lady Dr. Mrs. Gloria Diri visited the training of 2021 Female Aiteo Cup finalist Bayelsa Queens FC as they intensify preparation for Sunday Final against FC Robo of Lagos.
The First Lady encouraged the Gloryland Girls not to relent in their quest to clinch the Female Aiteo Cup. as the state would be proud of them. She also acknowledges the fact the team has always put God first in their adventure over the years.
The Bayelsa State First Lady however stated that she would have loved to be in Benin to cheer them to victory. But official duty would not allow her. She would definitely be with them in spirit and await the trophy.
Chairman of Bayelsa Queens Pastor Apreala Robin Angonimi thanked the Bayelsa First Lady for finding it necessary to visit the girls and assured them that they would put in their best to deliver the trophy on Sunday.
Permanent Secretary Ministry of Youth and Sports Mightyman Aye Dikuro thanked the Senator Douye Diri-led Prosperity administration for the massive support given to both Bayelsa Queens and United for the run towards the Finals of the Aiteo Cup.
The Permanent Secretary also used the opportunity to thank the media particularly the Sports Writers for the reportage and coverage given to both teams en route to the Finals.
The brief ceremony held at the Samson Siasia Stadium had the full Board Members of Bayelsa Queens and Vice Chairman of Bayelsa State Football Association Fubara Owunaro and other stakeholders in attendance.
