The Bauchi State Football Association Helmsman, Patrick Pascal MON has solicited police support on the best possible way to project good football with great security architecture in the state.
The soft-spoken football administrator who doubles as Team Coordinator of Super Eagles said the decision to visit the new Police Boss was aimed at consolidating on the existing Peace in the state.
The Ex- International who was visibly happy shortly after meeting with the number one policeman said the meeting with the new commissioner, Umar Mamman Sanda was fruitful and worthwhile.
In his words:” First and foremost, our courtesy visit was to welcome new Commissioner of Police. Thereafter, we collaborated on the best possible way to project good football with great security architecture in the state.”
“Take, for instance, we have 20 local government councils in the state, where our local football council chairmen are operating. The DPOs are in all the 20 local governments, so, administratively, we resolved that no football matches will take place without the consent of the Local Council Chairmen and the DPOs. This means that both authorities must endorse any tournament with better security cover before a ball is kicked. Recall that the police are very close to the people and they are the first point of call on every peaceful mission. ” said the Atalanta Olympics Gold Medalist.
PP added that the new Commissioner of Police welcomed them and assured them of 100 percent support for the new development.
“The new Commissioner of Bauchi State Command, Umar Mamman Sanda has given us 100% support, and the state will witness a new lease of life with great economic stimulus.” said the Ex Shooting Stars midfielder.
