Nigeria Professional Football League outfit, Bendel Insurance have again secured another point on the road in the Match Day 14 of NPFL as goalkeeper asogie denied Peoples elephants goal scoring opportunities, sports247.ng reports.
Brewing on the 3 points garnered at home to move up away from the relegation zone, the goalkeeping sensation made it difficult for the peoples elephants to cause any havoc as he was alive to his responsibilities throughout the matchday 14 of the 2018/2019 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) encounter.
Media Head of the Benin Arsenal, Kehinde Osagiede said the Insurance would have shocked their host a minute to stoppage time when Michael Enaruna and Osaghae Junior wasted a clear scoring opportunity from a counter attack.
Meyiwa Oritseweyimi and Kingsley Onovo came close to shaking the net of Enyimba in the 30 and 33 minutes into the game with fine drive and volley.
It was not a one sided game either as Ikouwem Udo troubled Insurance defence line with fine drives but thanks to Insurance defence strong men, Benjamin Tanimu and Daniel Johnson who whose 90 minutes concentration stave off the elephants’ incursions.
Insurance are now placed 10th in group A log with 16 points.
Speaking after the match, Insurance chief Coach Baldwin Bazuaye expressed satisfaction with his players’ performance throughout the game.
Bazuaye added that the players did well above average.
“Our players did a great job today in Aba. it’s not easy to get a draw at this point of the league especially against experienced side as Enyimba.” I am happy with the result
Coach of Enyimba, Usman Abdallah could not be reached for his reaction.
