The much-anticipated clash kicked off with high intensity as both teams fought for early dominance. Kada Warriors struck first in the 16th minute when Haruna Abubakar connected with a pinpoint cross from Daniels and calmly slotted past goalkeeper Silas Panshak to give the visitors the lead.
Despite the early setback, Basira FC responded with determination. Ibrahim Adamu, Chigozie Ani, and Usman Usman all came close to leveling the score but couldn’t find the net.
The equalizer eventually came in the 28th minute when lanky forward Mamuda Mohammed rose highest to nod home Kim Pwajok’s well-placed cross, bringing the game level at halftime.
Mamuda doubled his tally in the 56th minute with another powerful header, this time giving Basira the lead. The hosts sealed the win in the 75th minute when winger Sunday Aluku finished clinically from close range, extending the scoreline to 3-1.
With this crucial win, Coach Aminu Musa’s side showcased both attacking flair and defensive resilience, climbing to the top of NNL Conference D with 13 points from eight games—strengthening their push for a playoff spot.
Basira FC will now travel to Numan for their next fixture against Adamawa United on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Makwada Stadium in Adamawa State.
