UK-based Legal Practitioner Tokunbo Olagbaiye has charged fellow countrymen and women living abroad to put the interest if their fatherland first above all other interests.
The well-experienced immigration lawyer who has been instrumental to making Nigeria residents abroad safe and protected stated that a situation whereby some Nigerians living abroad often indulge in nefarious and unpatriotic conducts means they are painting the country of their birth in bad colours, adding that no matter how long, they will return one day.
“I want to implore our countrymen and women living abroad to try and be good ambassadors of our country. We have no other place we can call our home. As an immigration lawyer, I know how these European countries are when it comes to their laws. We should not be seen to be breaking laws or do anything that will smear the name and image if our country.”
” A situation whereby some of our people will behave unrulily is not acceptable. It means we are creating the wrong impression that will make it difficult for others to get the opportunity of visiting those countries.”
She also hailed the management of Buruj Sports Academy for their professionalism and patriotic zeal whenever they travel abroad for competitions.
