Coach Bankole Olowookere of Naija Ratels remains upbeat even after his team lost 1-0 to Rivers Angels in the President Federation Cup 2024 on Saturday.
In an interview with Sports 247, the confident coach expressed gratitude for the team’s remarkable journey to the finals.

Looking back at the season, Coach Olowookere acknowledged the challenges his team faced but emphasized their progress and achievements. “The season has been very rough for us, but thank God we got this far. Nobody saw us coming to this level,” he said.
Despite the disappointment of not winning the trophy, he remains thankful for their accomplishments and is optimistic about the future.
Coach Olowookere praised the players for their dedication and performance throughout the competition.
“They gave their best. Sometimes it happens like that. You might give your best, and things don’t work out as planned. But we give thanks to God,” he added.
Looking ahead, Coach Olowookere hinted at plans for the future but chose to keep them private for now.
He mentioned the importance of reflecting on the season and preparing for the next steps in his career.
“I have bigger plans, but I will keep everything to myself for now. After my mother’s burial, I will be able to see what to do with my career,” he concluded.
