Balogun Reveals More Gains From National Camp

Brighton & Hove Albion of England defender, Leon Aderemi Balogun has revealed that another huge thing he has gained from being in the Super Eagles’ camp is the ability to sing religious songs.

Although he admits he was not used to singing such songs during his growing up days in Germany, the half-caste stopper says he has learnt fast during camp with the Nigerian team.

Sports247.ng reports that Balogun is excited to pick up new songs and learn new words during his time in the Eagles’ fold, but he admits it has been made easier for him because he loves to blend with his pals.

The 3-year-old former Fortuna Dusseldofr, Darmstadt and SV Mainz of Germany star, who was born in West Berlin, said he has been part of the Eagles’ pre-match routine since making his debut versus Mexico in 2014.

Balogun said: “God is a very very big thing in Nigeria and for the players also. In Nigeria, it’s like a tradition, and they start to sing the song.

”I don’t know most of the songs from Germany, though I got to know some few words I enjoy it very much.

”Sometimes I get to sing along and clap, but I don’t know the complete songs. I always get hyped, and I always enjoy it, because I’m a camp guy.”
