Brighton & Hove Albion of England defender, Leon Aderemi Balogun has admitted he was delighted to finally get his chance of showing his mettle with the club, and it came on an evening they returned to winning ways.
In was Saturday, and Balogun made a rare appearance off the bench when he replaced Bruno in the 78th minute, but he picked up a booking four minutes later for a foul on Hadergjonaj.
With Balogun getting off the bench midway through the second half, Brighton recovered from an early setback to beat Huddersfield Town 2-1, much to the stopper’s relish.
Mathias Jorgensen opened the scoring for the Terriers, Shane Duffy got the equalizing goal in first half stoppage time before Florin Andone scored his first goal in the Premier League which separated the two sides at the end.
Elsewhere in England, Nnamdi Oforborh and Jordon Ibe were not in the Bournemouth squad that lost 3-1 to league leaders Manchester City.
Callum Wilson cancelled out Bernardo Silva’s goal just before half time, but Raheem Sterling made it 2-1 on 57 minutes before Ilkay Gundogan wrapped things up with 11 minutes left on the clock.
On the other hand, this time at King Power Stadium, Leicester City beat Watford 2-0, thanks to first half efforts from Jamie Vardy and James Maddison.
Wilfred Onyinyen Ndidi and Isaac Success started at opposing ends, while Kelechi Iheanacho was on for the hosts across the last 18 minutes.
Ten minutes before the break, Success missed a glorious opportunity to half the deficit when he blazed over from inside the box.
The biggest talkin g point, though, came when Watford’s Etienne Capoue was controversially sent off for a reckless challenge on Iheanacho in the 90th minute.
