Title sponsor of the 2021 BAFEM CUP Rt. Honorable Femi Bamisile has opined that football is one of the tools in solving Nigeria’s insecurity and banditry issues.
While speaking to journalists at the kick of the BAFEM CUP at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado Ekiti, Bamisile stated that football as a unifying factor should be one of the tools to curb the high rate of insecurity and crime currently bedeviling the country.
“Looking at the time we found ourselves in the country with security issues, kidnapping, and all other vices, we need something like football to bring us together and make us feel there’s a better tomorrow”
Bamisile further remarked that the competition will bring the best out of Ekiti youth in football. Adding that football scouts from the Netherlands will be available to watch and pick talents as the competition progresses.
The 2021 BAFEM CUP packaged by the Ekiti State football association under the leadership of Bayo Olanlege continues on Monday at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado Ekiti.
