Badminton Bronze Medalist, Osasere Osaro Wants More As Curtain Falls On Asaba 2024 National Youth Games

Osasere Osaro has expressed his frustration of not being able to win the gold medal as the curtain falls on the 2024 Asaba National Youth Games on Thursday, Sports 247 reports.

Osasere won the bronze medal in Badminton doubles , falling short of his personal target of leaving Asaba 2024 with a Gold medal.

He told our correspondence how he felt about his failure to win the gold and set his sight on the next year’s edition as he still wants more from the games.

” Not winning the gold is not really good, for me but I will take bronze as a step up over the 2023 edition where i did not win any medal” he told Sports 247 exclusively.

Osasere Osas spoke on what is next as the 2024 National youth games ended on Thursday.

” Next time I will try my best to win the gold medal.”

” We try our best to win the gold, and our coach said we need to be patient and train harder to win the gold”, said Osasere.

Meanwhile, Team Delta is the overall winner of the 8th National Youth Games, tagged Asaba 2024.

Delta State a total of 111 medals comprising 46 gold, 31 silver, and 34 bronze, to beat other contestants as the closing ceremony signaling the end of the 2024 games.

Lagos finished as the first runner up with a total of 65 medals, 26 gold, 20 silver, and 19 bronze medals, while Edo finished third on the log with 18 gold, 13 silver, and 28 bronze medals.

A total of 27 states made it to the medal table out of 35 states including FCT Abuja that participated in the games as Rivers State failed to send Athletes to the game citing financial constraints.
