As the Badagry Football League kicks off Saturday across various centres, manager of Straightway Football Club of Abule Oshun, Ikechukwu Ani, has tasked his players to approach their first game with all seriousness.

Straightway FC would begin their campaign on Monday against Young Pro Football Club by 12noon at the CVD Barracks , Ojo, Lagos.
The ongoing league is organised by Badagry Divisional Football Association BDFA under the leadership of Dr Martins Osondu and sponsored by RAK Foundation.
While speaking ahead of their first game on Monday, Ani charged his boys to approach their first game with all seriousness saying that anything short of victory would be a huge disappointment to the fans and team’s management.
“We are looking forward to our first match on Monday against Young Pro.I don’t know much about our opponents but i know that they are equally a good side.We respect all our opponents in our group but my boys should go out for victory and avoid complacency,”he said.
Asked if his team can go all way to the final, Ani said his team are prepared well and promisd to go far in the league.
“The league just started and we have not played any match at all.We are positive about the league but I can tell you that we would approach all games with seriousness and i wish my boys and backroom staff best of luck,”he said.
