“Our board is determined to change the narrative of volleyball in Nigeria,” he said. “We have identified the gaps and areas where we need to improve, and we will work together to bridge those gaps. This is not the job of one man, but a team effort.”

He stressed the importance of strengthening national competitions to raise the standard of players and coaches across the country.

“For our national teams to succeed, we must improve at the grassroots. That means better structures at the state level and more tournaments for players to showcase their talents,” Omisore added.

Omisore also confirmed that the board would prioritize increased participation, noting that volleyball has the potential to grow rapidly if well managed.

“We want to see more young people taking up volleyball. The sport is exciting, and with the right investment in schools and communities, we can develop the next generation of stars,” he said.

The federation’s long-term target includes qualifying consistently for continental and world competitions while positioning Nigeria as a volleyball powerhouse in Africa.

“We are not just here to participate; we want to compete and win medals,” Omisore declared confidently.
