Babatunde: I Can Add Quality To Super Eagles

Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco midfielder, Babatunde Michael has confessed that he is looking forward to playing again for the Super Eagles, as he believes he can added top quality to the squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Sports247.ng gathered that Babatunde, who was a revelation for Nigeria at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, is seeking a recall to the Eagles after several years of absence.

Now 25 years old, and with various botched efforts to revive his career at several bases, before moving to Morocco, Babatunde believes his high level of experience will come in handy for Gernot Rohr at AFCON 2019.

Babatunde added that he is now a better developed and mature player, who can bring lots of options to bear in the Eagles’ midfield, from both frontal and defensive duties.

He admitted that the current squad is saturated with talents already, be reasoned further that there is always room for an extra touch of depth in any team that aims to win a major international championship.

Babatunde acknowledged: “We have a good team that can challenge for the Nations Cup next year, but there is always room for quality addition.

“(There is always room for someone) that can help toughen competition in the squad and ensure the coaches select the best legs for the country.

“For me nothing is impossible. I believe if given the opportunity again I can also add my own quota to the progress of the Super Eagles.”
