Wydad Casablanca of Morocco midfielder, Babatunde Michael is staying calm over his impending visit to Enugu, where his team will battle Lobi Stars in the CAF Champions League.
Sports247.ng reports that Babatunde is already confirmed for Friday’s match against Lobi Stars, while fellow-Nigerian, Gabriel Okechukwu is also likely to feature, and he says they will approach the game with zeal.
Although Babatunde admitted he will be filled with a lot of emotions, since it is against a club from his country, the former Super Eagles star stressed that he has to enter the game as true professional.
With all four teams in the group on three points after two games, Wydad will be all out to shock Lobi, who are yet to lose any match or concede a single goal at home so far in the elite clubs’ competition.
Babatunde, who twinkled high for Nigeria against Argentina at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, added that Wydad aim to get back to winning ways following their loss to Mamelodi Sundowns in their last fixture.
With that in view, Babatunde affirmed that his Casablanca-based side will be all for maximum points at Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium this Friday, but quickly added that they cannot afford to underrate their hosts.
Babatunde said: “It’s going to be an emotional game for me no doubt because I will be playing in my country.
“But, as professionals we have to get the job done which is what we will do on the pitch come Friday in Enugu.
“We have seen what they are capable of and I’m confident we can overcome them and return to Morocco with all three points.
