In line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the National Sports Commission’s commitment to global best practices, the Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) has appointed Babatunde Adeluola as its Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Babatunde Adeluola, a graduate of the University of Ibadan with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, brings a robust financial background and a passion for sports to his new role.
His distinguished banking career spanned leadership positions at United Bank for Africa (UBA), Ecobank, and Polaris Bank. In 2022, he transitioned into sports as a financial consultant for international sporting events, demonstrating a commitment to marrying his financial expertise with sports development.
“Rugby is a sport with immense potential in Nigeria,” Babatunde said during his announcement. “The recent international successes of our teams showcase what can be achieved with strategic planning and dedication.
My goal is to build on this momentum and ensure rugby in Nigeria earns the global recognition it deserves.”
