The second day of the return of football in Germany saw two Nigeria stars in action.
Both players enjoyed different fate on the day as Taiwo Awoniyi scored his first goal to help Mainz 05 secure a come back with Cologne, while Anthony Ujah could not help Union Berlin as they lost to league leaders, Bayer Munich.
Awoniyi who scored the first goal of the come back in 61st minute expressed his pleasure at the post match interview with the club’s media.
“I’m really happy about scoring my first goal for #Mainz! We came back very well as a team today and fought our way back into the match!”
The Bundesliga which restarted yesterday after being suspended indefinitely since March also had Jamilu Collins play all 90 minutes for his club, Paderborn in a goalless draw with Dusseldorf.
