Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi has saluted Kwara United management for returning the club back to the Nigeria’s topflight.
Awoniyi who currently plays on loan at German Bundesliga side Mainz made this known at the office of the Kwara state Deputy Governor Mr Kayode Alabi.
He congratulated and praised Kwara United management while greeting the chairman of the club Kumbi Titiloye who was also on ground at the Deputy Governor’s office.
“I am glad that the club made a return to the NPFL under you my boss. I was happy when I heard you are the new chairman of Kwara United because I know what you are capable of doing,” Taiwo explained while greeting Kumbi Titiloye.
While responding, Kwara United chairman Kumbi Titiloye thanked Taiwo Awoniyi for the appreciation and also enjoined him to work hard in his club.
He also stated emphatically that Kwara United will soar this season in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Meanwhile, Kwara United will face Abia Warriors in their next game at home on January 5 before traveling to Aba to face Enyimba three days after.
