KAA Gent of Belgium attacker, Taiwo Awoniyi is facing a dire dilemma on his future, as the lad on loan from Liverpool of England has been told to arrive at a personal decision.
Sports247.ng gathered that, in the face of dwindling fortunes in Belgium, Awoniyi has been offered the chance of arriving at the way out on his own accord, rather than for the two clubs that own his contract to take the decision for him.
It means crossroads for the former youth international, whose marks with Royal Excel Mouscron in the past season appeared to portray an end to his search for the Golden Fleece in Europe, only for him to implode with Gent in the ongoing campaign.
That is despite recent rave reviews and achievements trailing such players as Moses Simon, Samuel Kalu and Kingsley Michael at the same Belgian club, which appeared a better option for Awoniyi, after earlier stints on loan in Germany and Holland.
The dire is now cast for Awoniyi to take the mother of all decisions, as he has been told has been told he can leave Gent this month.
Awoniyi has struggled for form during his loan, such that both Liverpool and Gent have now agreed they can cut short his deal, but left the final choice to the player.
