The central defender who came into the limelight at the 2003 FIFA Women’s World Cup turns 37 today.
The player who has earned 81 international caps for Nigeria keeps waxing stronger in the round leather game.
“Onome Ebi has served the nation and deserves to be celebrated,” Authentic Nigeria Football Supporters Club National President Abayomi Ogunjimi said in an official statement.
“She has represented Nigeria at 5 FIFA World Cup tournaments and won 4 African Women’s Cup of Nations titles. Onome has travelled far and wide. Onome is a role and one of the most dedicated soldiers to have defended the flag of Nigeria. We join the football family to wish her happy birthday,” he concluded.
