The President and members of Authentic Nigeria Football Supporters Club, expressed deep sadness over the unfortunate tragic death players of Police Machine team, in Uyo.
The players who were killed by a hit and run driver Tuesday evening in Uyo, after while returning from training.
Abayomi Ogunjimi, the President of the club, while wishing the injured speedy recovery also prayed the souls of the dead players through the mercy of GOD rest in perfect peace.
Abayomi Ogunjimi further prayed that God grants the families of the players, the NFF, the NWFL board, the Nigerian Police force, members of the Police Machine team and Nigerians in general the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
Abayomi Ogunjimi said ‘ It is so sad that such players could have their lives cut short while in their prime.
The President of Authentic Nigeria Football Supporters Club Abayomi Ogunjimi further asked the NWFL board to put the relegation playoffs on hold for a couple of days as a mark mourning with the team as available information indicates that the team was about traveling to Abuja for the NWPL relegation play-off.
