Authentic Nigeria Football Supporters club (ANDSC) received the unpleasant news of the demise of veteran journalist and a board member of the Nigeria women football league, Henrietta Ukaigwe with a great shock.
In an authorized statement signed by the Management, the deceased (Henrietta Ukaigwe) was praised as a great promoter of the round leather game and did pay her dues while alive.
“Her demise came at an unexpected time. We sympathize with Nigeria Football Federation, the Nigeria Women football league, Sports writers and most importantly, the family and friends she left behind.”
We pray that God grant all the fortitude to bear this irredeemable loss.
Ukaigwe who was the founder of the Female Football Interest Group (FFIG), an interest group she founded with other major women football stakeholders was always ready to contribute her quote to the development of women’s football in Nigeria and beyond.
