The ongoing Atiji Football League has entered the second round after some week’s battle among 15 teams in Atan Ota, Ogun State.
The league which is being put together by Atiji Zone Coaches Association is taking place at NUD Primary School, Atan- Ota, Ogun State.
The chairman organizing committee, Ajikawoifa Kamarundeen in a statement copied our correspondent said the coaches association is impressed with the standard of play by the participating teams saying that the league has lived up to expectations.
He said the numbers of spectators watch some matches showed that the league is highly competitive and all the participating teams have football pedigree in Atan Ota and its environs. He explained further that the Atiji league has discovered some talents noted that all the talented players would be nurtured to stardom.
“This is the league that discovered some hidden talents. As soon as the league ends, we will put all the talents together and train them for future challenges. I am happy that the league has brought many coaches and club owners together and I commend the organizers for working round the clock to ensure that the league record a huge success,” he said.
The league would resume in the next two weeks according to the organizers
