She added in a chat with sports247.ng after winning the female 200m individual medley (IM) that she is happy being among the competitors in Asaba.

“I am happy and appreciate being at these National Youth Games,” the jocular lass began.

“I compete in the 200m IM, and I came first in my heat with a bit of a gap.”
While her efforts put her in pole position for a medal, Miss Ibidapo admitted that the competition has been stiff.

She added, “For the second heat, I am not sure of the position the others got. That’s why I was not sure of the medal I would get.”

She then spoke about her development strides and disclosed that her ultimate target is to win an Olympic Games gold medal for Nigeria.

“I like being in the water, and training with my coaches has helped me to achieve this journey.

“I am training harder and putting my eyes on trying to achieve anything I want to do.

“That’s why I see myself winning gold for Nigeria at the Olympics sometime in the future,” Ibidapo projected with optimism.
