The 2024 edition of the Asaba National Youth Games gold medal in Gymnastics means everything to Wisdom Ikede of Edo State after conquering opposition from Delta State and Ogun State, Sports 247 reports.
A relaxed Wisdom Ikede who is making his first appearance in the games this year share his experince with correspondent In an exclusive chat on Monday.
“This is my first time participating in the games and I must say the gold medal means everything to me, I thank God for everything”
“The competition went well but kind of complicated because the equipment was bad but we thank for coming out in flying colours”, said Wisdom Ikede.
The gymnast who has a dose of respect for his opponents say sticking to his coaches instruction wins him the gold medal.
“They are good, strong but doing what my coach told me to do helped me to win the gold medal”, says Ikede.
