This marks a dream start for Kano as they become the first team to win multiple golds in this year’s fives events.
Abubakar Isah Sadauki led the charge, winning the first gold medal in the fives male singles final by defeating his Lagos counterpart with an impressive score of 14-0.
The match took place at the squash court in the Government House, Asaba, Delta State.
Continuing their dominance, the duo of Abubakar Isah Sadauki and Abdulrahaman Abubakar clinched gold in the fives doubles final, overwhelming the Bayelsa team with a resounding 41-0 victory at the same venue.
This double triumph in fives elevates Kano’s total medal tally to three, including two gold medals in fives and one bronze medal in the 100-meter backstroke swimming event.
The Kano team’s success underscores their preparation and skill, making them a standout contender at the National Youth Games this year.
