ASABA 2024: Imo State’s Anderson Woindili Targets Gold Next Time Out, After Winning Bronze

Imo State wrestler, Woindili Anderson has declared that her target is to win a gold medal in the next competition where she represents Imo State.

She declared as much after winning a bronze medal in wrestling’s 36kg category at the 8th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.

Anderson’s feat was among the major highlights on the last day of competition in the Delta State capital, and the youngster admitted she felt on top of the world.

She stated further in a chat with Sports247 correspondent that it is an improvement for her since she did not win any medal during her first outing at the NYG last year.

Anderson retorted, “I won a bronze medal in wrestling 36kg category, and I am very happy. It is my second time in the Youth Games, but I did not win anything the first time.

“I am happy for my improvement this year. I enjoyed myself and my friends also enjoyed it, especially the food.

“I will train harder when I get back home, so that I will win more medals for Imo State.
“This bronze medal makes me feel happy, but I want to win gold in the next competition that I attend,” Anderson declared with optimism.
