“I found it tough, but I’m grateful that I won a medal in my first outing,” the soft-spoken Esther said.

Competing against athletes from about 10 other states, she managed to secure the silver medal, an impressive feat given that she only started training for the shooting event three months ago.

Reflecting on her competitors, Esther remarked, “The competitors were good, and I had to push myself.” Her victory means a lot to her and has made her family, friends, and state proud.

Looking ahead, Esther plans to use this achievement as motivation to improve further.

“This victory will propel me to train very hard to get better. So next time, I will win the gold,” she said, determined to continue her progress in the sport and achieve even greater success in future competitions.
