Slovakian club, AS Trencin, has finalized the acquisition of Flying Eagles winger, Jude Sunday.
The young talent made the move from local club, Real Sapphire FC.
Expressing his excitement after signing the contract, the speedy winger is eager to embark on this new chapter of his football journey.
“It’s a very big chance for me,” Sunday shared with the club’s media. “I have been warmly welcomed at the club, and I feel very comfortable with the first-team squad. I want to give my best to the team and the fans. My aspiration is to follow the path of Moses Simon.”
Sunday admires Simon’s growth as a player and considers him a mentor. However, he is determined to surpass even his mentor’s achievements.
“I know that he’s had the opportunity to become a great player right here. I can say that he is my role model, but I want to become even better than him. It won’t be easy, but it serves as my motivation,” he asserted.
The 19-year-old Sunday played a significant role in the Flying Eagles’ journey to the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations and the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup, scoring four goals in 12 appearances for the national youth team this year. His move to AS Trencin represents a promising step in his professional career.
