Arsenal of England youth team player, Tobi Omole appears as the most likely England-based youngster to link up with Nigeria’s Flying Eagles for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland.
This is the verdict of the under-20 national team’s coach, Paul Osahon Aigbogun, who reeled out names of several kids he has on his cards for the Youth Mundial this summer.
However, while rolling out names of the kids he has in mind, Aigbogun sounded more affirmative with Omole, as the Uk-born coach disclosed that he has met with The Gunners’ kid’s parents over the matter.
The former Enyimba of Aba coach said, aside meeting Omole’s parents to discuss his switch in allegiance to star for Nigeria, he enthused that the response he gained from the discussions was positive.
Aigbogun also spoke glowingly about Bournemouth’s Nnamdi Oforborh and Watford’s Jayden Bennets, who have both already trained with his team in the past months, but Omole appears the most likely of the lot.
Aigbogun assured: “There’s this left back at Arsenal Tobi Omole, I spoke with his parents and the response was positive.
“Nnamdi Ofoborh of Bournemouth will no doubt return to the team; same as Jayden Bennetts of Watford.”
