Ariyibi Determined To Make Impact At Motherwell

Motherwell of Scotland January signing, Gboly Ariyibi has declared that he has a burning ambition to excel with the modest team and help them to success this season in the Scottish Premiership.

Ariyibi, who arrived at Motherwell earlier this month from Nottingham Forest of England, added that he wants to settle down fast among his new teammates, among whom are his old pal, Ross McCormack.

Sports247.ng can report further that the Nigerian-born winger could not play for Forest two years after joining them, but got 40 appearances last season during loan spells with MK Dons and Northampton.

He is now determined to make up for lost time, and admits that should translate into an impact at Fir Park for the rest of the Ladbrokes season.

Ariyibi, who was born in United States but raised in England, said: “I like to take on my man, beat my man, get crosses in and just get the fans off their seats really.

“I’m going to be 24 and there’s some young lads here and I want to come and show my experience and give what I can.

“I want to add flair, goals and push this club up to where it needs to be. The main thing is to get games, get my name back out there and enjoy my football again.”
