The pulse of the league will resonate across two iconic venues: the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Institute of Sports (NIS), National Stadium, Surulere, and the outdoor handball court at the Rowe Park Sports Center, Yaba, Lagos.
Hostilities are scheduled to commence on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.
Preparations kick off with a strategic technical meeting at the NIS Indoor Sports Hall.
Here, coaches, officials, including referees and members of the technical and organizing committee, will delve into the league’s rules, setting the tone for the upcoming contests.
Sharp at 7 am on Tuesday morning, action will unfold at the designated centres, echoing the anticipation and excitement of handball enthusiasts.
Teams are primed and ready, especially after a gripping Phase 1 in Benin City, Edo State, where Niger United and Safety Babes emerged as league leaders in the men and women categories.

In the women’s category, Rima Queens of Sokoto, securing the third spot with 23 points, confront Bayelsa Queens, seated 8th on the log with 13 points.

Moving to the men’s category, Niger United, the reigning champions and league leaders, prepare to face Correction Boys, presently positioned 10th on the table with 16 points.
